This handbook provides an overview of volunteering opportunities, roles, responsibilities, and expectations. VOLUNTEER PHILOSOPHY:

Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities
The specific responsibilities of each volunteer role will vary depending on the chosen area and project. However, some general responsibilities include:
1. Event Coordinator : Responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating sports events, including scheduling, venue selection, logistics, and participant registration.
2. Marketing and Promotion Manager Develops and implements marketing
strategies to promote sports events, increase participation, and attract sponsors. This role involves managing social media accounts, creating promotional materials, and liaising with media outlets.
3. Volunteer Coordinator : Recruits, trains, and manages volunteers t o assist with various aspects of event planning and execution. This includes assigning tasks, providing support, and ensuring that volunteers have a positive experience.
4. Sponsorship and Fundraising Coordinator : Identifies potential sponsors, negotiates partnerships and develops sponsorship packages. Also responsible for organizing fundraising initiatives to support federation activities and events.
5. Technical Support Coordinator : Oversees the technical aspects of events, such as equipment setup, live streaming, and scorekeeping systems. This role ensures that all technical requirements are met f or a successful event.
6. Athlete Liaison Officer : Serves as the main point of contact for participating athletes, addressing their needs, providing information, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the event.
7. Media and Communication Manager : Manages media relations, press releases, and communications with stakeholders, including athletes, coaches, sponsors, and the public. Also responsible for producing content for the federation’s website, newsletters, and social media channels.
8. Health and Safety Officer : Develops and implements health and safety protocols for events, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines. This role focuses on creating a safe environment for participants, spectators, and staff.
9. Community Engagement Coordinator : Engages with local communities to promote sports participation, organize outreach programs, and foster partnerships with schools, clubs, and other organizations.
10. Event Evaluation and Feedback Coordinator : Collects feedback from participants, volunteers, and stakeholders to evaluate event success and identify areas for improvement. This role involves conducting surveys, analyzing data, and implementing recommendations for future events.
These roles can be adapted and combined based on the specific needs and size of the sports activities and events.
Online Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities
Volunteers can contribute their skills and expertise in various areas to support the successful management of sports activities and events As an online volunteer, your responsibilities may include:
1. Remote Assistance : Providing virtual support to various projects or initiatives, such as answering emails, managing social media accounts, or participating in online forums.
2. Content Creation : Developing digital content such as blog posts, articles, graphics, or videos to support awareness campaigns, fundraising
efforts, or educational initiatives.
3. Translation : Assisting with translation tasks to make resources or information accessible to a wider audience.
4. Research : Conducting online research on specific topics, gathering data, and compiling reports to support organizational objectives.
5. Virtual Event Support : Helping to organize, promote, or facilitate virtual events such as webinars, online workshops, or fund raising campaigns.
6. Technology Support : Providing technical assistance to ensure the smooth operation of online platforms, tools, or systems used by the organization.
7. Data Entry and Management : Assisting with data entry, organization, and management tasks to maintain accurate records and databases.
8. Virtual Mentorship : Offering virtual mentorship or tutoring services to individuals or groups seeking guidance i n specific areas of expertise.
9. Online Advocacy : Engaging in online advocacy efforts by sharing information, raising awareness, and mobilizing support for relevant causes or campaigns.

Camera Man & Anchor
• Assist with camera setup, operation, and maintenance during video shoots and productions.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for video concepts and visual storytelling.
• Collaborate with our content team to plan and execute video projects, from pre-production to post-production.
• Gain practical experience in using professional camera equipment, lighting techniques, and editing software.
• Receive constructive feedback and mentorship to help you develop your skills and grow as a videographer.
